We believe healing work is never done alone. At Little Lights Therapy Co., our collective is made up of thoughtful, heart-led practitioners who share a vision of trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and relationship-centred care.

While our foundation is in supporting children, youth, and the people who care for them, the growing expertise of our team allows our work to extend across the lifespan - walking alongside people at every stage of growth and change.

Together, we honour each person’s story and walk gently beside those who invite us into their healing.

The Little Lights Collective

Rooted in care. Growing together.

Ericka is a proud Red River Métis woman, born and raised in Northwestern Ontario. With over seven years of experience in the helping field, spanning school systems, child welfare, Indigenous communities, private practice, and consulting, she brings a warm, curious, and steady presence to her work with children, youth, families, and communities.

Her practice is guided by a trauma-informed lens and a deep belief in the capacity for healing. With a constant eye on nervous system regulation, she supports clients in understanding how stress and lived experiences shape their inner world and relationships. Ericka blends therapeutic play, relational work, and strengths-based strategies to foster spaces where healing can feel both safe and courageous.

She holds a Bachelor & Master of Social Work from the University of Western Ontario, and is an EMDR Trained Therapist (EMDRIA). Ericka is also honoured to be recognized as a Feather Carrier through the Leadership for Life Promotion initiative - a distinction that reflects her commitment to community healing, cultural safety, and reconciliation in practice.

For Ericka, therapy is less about fixing and more about walking alongside, honouring the strength it takes to face difficult truths while also welcoming laughter, creativity, and moments of lightness as part of the healing journey.

Beyond the Therapy Room

“I try to find joy in the simple things - slow mornings, blasting my favourite music, a good cup of coffee, or the soft chaos of time spent with the little ones in my life. I find comfort in moments that remind me to slow down and breathe - whether it’s singing, writing, or losing track of time doing something I love. Creativity is where I really come home to myself - through music, writing, or noticing the beauty tucked into ordinary days. Gratitude for where my feet are keeps me steady.”

Registered Social Worker

Ashley is a Registered Social Worker and mother of two, living in Northwestern Ontario. With over ten years of experience in child and youth mental health, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with children, youth, and families.

She holds an Honours Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from Laurentian University and is currently completing her Master of Social Work with Dalhousie University! Ashley has pursued extensive professional development throughout her career, completing advanced trainings in areas such as trauma-informed practice, suicide prevention, emotion regulation, and attachment-based parenting.

Her approach is relational and collaborative, drawing on attachment- and play-based work, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness strategies, while always centering parents as the experts on their children. Ashley believes that parenting is a journey full of ups and downs, and she walks alongside families to strengthen bonds, ease anxiety, and make sense of big emotions.

You can often find her validating the everyday stresses of parenting, sitting with a child sorting through big feelings, or simply offering a safe, compassionate space for families to pause, understand one another, and reconnect.

Beyond the Therapy Room:

“Outside the therapy room, I’m most often with my family and our dogs - soaking in the small, ordinary moments that make life feel full. Watching my kids explore and discover the world around them reminds me daily of what matters most: connection, presence, and the simple beauty of being together. I love a good cup of coffee with friends, the easy chatter while our kids play and the laughter that fills the background.”

Registered Social Worker

At Little Lights, we know that healing ripples through families, relationships, and communities - and that supporting caregivers and adults is an essential part of nurturing the systems around children and youth. Sarah brings a depth of experience and compassion to this work, walking alongside adults, couples, and parents as they navigate life’s complexities and the parts of themselves that long to be understood.

There are moments in life when everything can feel like too much - when the noise inside becomes louder than the world outside. Sarah supports clients in exploring the different parts of themselves that may emerge in those moments: the anxious part that wants to keep you safe, the critical part that pushes you to do more, the tender part that longs for connection, and the quiet part that still dares to hope. She sees these parts as messengers, each carrying a story, a need, and a protective intention beneath the surface.

As a therapist, Sarah offers a space where all of you is welcome. Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing begins when we feel truly seen and understood. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work to help clients build insight, resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Sarah also supports couples in nurturing their connection, especially when communication breaks down or past wounds resurface. In couples work, Sarah views the relationship itself as the client - an evolving dynamic that holds both the pain and the potential for healing. She helps partners understand their patterns, reconnect with empathy, and move toward deeper intimacy and trust.

For parents and caregivers, Sarah offers a space that honours complexity. Parenting can awaken parts of ourselves we didn’t know existed, that deserve thoughtful attention and care. She strives to create a space where each experience is not only validated but explored with care and nuance. Therapy, for Sarah, isn’t about fixing - it’s about gently meeting yourself, part by part, and discovering what healing can look like on your own terms.

Beyond the Therapy Room:

“I love noticing the beauty in the everyday - the small, often overlooked details that make life richer. A warm mug in cold hands, the way light shifts through the trees, the laughter that sneaks up in the middle of a hard conversation. I have a soft spot for quiet moments, a good laugh, and finding humour even in the middle of the messy parts of life.”
